Happy Monday! I hope that your Labor Day has been fun! We stayed home and did some cleaning this morning. I had a chance to sew for a few hours and made bee blocks for the Munki in the Middle Bee on Flickr. This bee is a lot of fun because we are challenged with a block to make, given some general ideas for fabrics to use and then it is time to dig into the stash of treasured Heather Ross Fabrics!
The first two blocks are for Emily. Emily requested Greek Cross Blocks. The tutorial for this block can be found clicking on this tutorial link. Her Greek Cross Blocks are super cute! The next two blocks are for Joni. Joni Requested Wonky Star Blocks with solid colored backgrounds. Since there were two blocks I able to combine eight different fabrics to make similar star points for each block. As you can see the VW Camper Buses in the centers are from two different colorways! The brown background is a chocolaty brown and the pink background is just like bubblegum!
Tonight we will have a simple dinner and hang out at home! There is some paperwork to finish to prepare for another back to work day tomorrow. Did you have time to sew? Hopefully you had some quilty goodness. It always has a Zen effect on my soul when I get to sew! Have a Happy Sunday and Happy Quilting!
