Happy Sunday! Another week has flown by so quickly! It is hard to believe that it is September! My weekend feels like it sped by at record pace. we lost a half a day at the post office waiting for the mail to go into the boxes. I have been working for the past day and a half on making Fabric Baskets for the Sew Sew Modern 3 Swap on Flickr. The baskets started out as patchwork. The fabric used is Chicopee by Denyse Schmidt and some scraps of Heather Ross Fabrics. By the way the sign ups for Round two of the Fabric Basket Swap on Flickr is open!! I hope that you can join us!I made the baskets a bit taller to serve as storage for an array of items for my partner. The first basket looks like it would be excellent for rotary cutters or sewing tools. All of the baskets pictured still need to be trimmed and lined.
I love the whimsical set of three baskets for my secret partner. Hopefully I will have time to work on them in the evenings during the upcoming week!
There are some other goodies that will go out with this swap. I just have to cut fabric from my stash and wrap up some of the other things for her. Hopefully she will like them and find many uses for them. The baskets have been quilted with straight lines to give them a bit of sturdiness.
I will be posting the winner of the Bloggy Giveaway for the Books and Charm Packs Shortly! I hope that you are enjoying National Sewing Month and finding time to work at your craft! Have a Happy Sunday and Happy Quilting!
